Two day-use areas give access to the bay or the ocean with picnic areas and restrooms that include fire rings. Bayside day-use has boat ramps. The docks for boats are seasonally open (typically between mid-May and mid-October). Check with the park staff prior to time.A service for loaning life jackets is located on the site, with life jackets in different sizes. Do you know if Nehalem Bay State Park offer ADA accessible camping sites and facilities?

Do I have to bring my pet along in the area?

Yes. Pets are to be controlled by the pet's owner or on a leash that is not more than six feet in length, and controlled physically throughout the day. It is your responsibility to clean up after your pet and keep them in a quiet place in quiet times (10 p.m.between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.).

What has happened to the docks for boats?

Each year we detach our boat docks to prepare for the winter time. Although it isn't a decision that is popular but it is necessary in order to protect the pilings and docks. Storms can be unpredictable with the initial major storm of the season typically occurring in October. Hammocks should be able to be hung between posts, buildings picnic tables, or other structures.
